Enjoy a chance to explore the ancient copper mines beneath the mountains of Snowdonia at the Sygun Copper Mine in Beddgelert, North Wales.

The Sygun Copper Mine is a fantastic family attraction in a spectacular location.

The Sygun Copper Mine is one of North Wales best visitor attractions. The mine is located just to the south of the village of Beddgelert in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.

The mine is suitable for all the family and our self-guided audio visual tours allow you to explore the old workings on foot in complete safety.

The audio-visual tour, which is in English, clearly explains each stage of the mining process and is complemented by interpretive displays with additional languages including Welsh, French, German, Dutch and Spanish.

The caverns are well lit and sound effects are used to contribute to provide a realistic glimpse into the past.

The Sygun Copper Mine is a winner of the Prince of Wales Awards for Tourism. The mine is located just to the south of the Snowdonia village of Beddgelert in the Gwynant Valley believed to be the spiritual birthplace of the Red Dragon of Wales.
