Ascend Snowdon, the tallest mountain in Wales, in style on the Snowdon Mountain Railway located in Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon.
The Snowdon Mountain Railway is one of the top attractions in the whole of Wales drawing thousands of visitors every year.
Your journey begins at the base station close to the centre of Llanberis and ascends Mt Snowdon taking in some spectacular views along the way.

The round trip journey time is 2 hours 30 minutes.
Continuing on from Hebron your journey takes you towards the half way station where the train takes on water whilst waiting for other trains to pass.
From this point you leave the green valleys behind as you begin the steep ascent to towards the summit.
Still 1094ft below the summit you reach Clogwyn Station. This is the current termination point until the new Summit Complex is completed. From here on in you are on foot if you want to get to the top.
The final ascent is the steepest part with a gradient of 1 in 5 in places. On clear days the view is truly breathtaking with views of the Snowdonia National Park, Isle of Anglesey, and even as far as the Isle of Man.
