The Hotel Portmeirion overlooks the Dywryd Estuary and Irish Sea

The Hotel Portmeirion is a 4 star hotel that is situated within the grounds of the popular Portmierion tourist attraction within Gwynedd. The hotel sits above the shoreline looking out across the beautiful Dywryd Estuary towards the Irish Sea.

The hotel has 42 rooms and suites decorated in an award winning art deco style in keeping with the Italiante Village above.

Castell Deudraeth provides an additional 11 rooms and suites for the hotel

The Hotel Portmeirion was designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, who is also responsible for creating the village, and first opened in 1926 less than a year after rebuilding work had commenced. Today the hotel is comprised of the main building with 14 rooms and suites, Castell Deudraeth with 11 rooms and suites and the remaining accommodation within the village itself.

The hotel boasts a large dining room which serves modern Welsh food and is open to non residential guests.

The venue is available for wedding receptions and is fully licensed. Civil ceremonies are available should you choose. Receptions can cater for up to 100 guests.

Evening receptions are also available and are held in the Hercules Hall and can cater for up to 140 guests. We are happy to assist with providing entertainment should you require it.

The Portmeirion village is a beautifully designed Italiante style settlement that nestles in over 70 acres of wonderful gardens. The village is open to the public as a tourist attraction and is located on its own peninsula close to the village Penrhyndeudraeth and two miles south of Porthmadog.
